Fire Door Inspection

A fire door inspection will ultimately check that the building’s fire door(s) are compliant with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRFSO) which makes it a legal requirement to ensure that fire resisting doors are correctly installed and adequately maintained to be fit for purpose.

Who can inspect fire doors?

As laid out in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) 2005, only a competent person should carry out an inspection on a fire door with a fire door inspector being approved and qualified to carry out the assessment of door sets competently. As accredited members of The Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) and the National Association Of Fire Door Inspectors (NAFDI) Peritus PFP certified inspectors provide a professional and expert check of all your fire doors on-site to ensure they are safe, compliant and effective in protecting occupants against smoke and flames in the event of a fire. This competency enables our clients to have a full and comprehensive LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) certified fire door inspection certificate on completion.
