Fire Risk Assessment

The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRFSO) is the law that covers general fire safety in England and Wales.

As an employer (or building owner / occupier) you're known as the ‘responsible person' and you must carry out a fire safety risk assessment (FRA) and keep it up to date. Based on the findings of an assessment, the responsible person(s) will need to ensure that adequate and appropriate fire safety measures are in place to minimise the risk of injury or loss of life in the event of a fire emergency.

Peritus PFP Fire Risk Assessors are qualified to undertake an FRA that has been developed in conjunction with standards such as the Home Office fire guidance and PAS79-1:2020. They are accredited with industry leading learning platforms and undergo training on how to complete the FRA template in web-based software which ensures consistency of approach to the recording of the significant findings and risk analysis when undertaking an assessment. The FRA will assist the Responsible Person in identifying significant findings that are clear breaches of the Fire Safety Order, with priority, risk and time scales recorded to action the findings. Our process will also identify fire risks that may be outside the scope of the Fire Safety Order but could present a property or business measurable risk.
